This Couple Just Celebrated 82 Years Of Marriage — And Shared Simple Advice To Making Love Last – Video

A North Carolina couple previously celebrated three huge milestones: their two birthdays and their 82nd anniversary of marriage. According to WSOC-TV, D.W. Williams, 103, and Willie Williams, 100, were honored at a party organized by both their daughter and granddaughter at First Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church in north Charlotte.

Glancing behind on their long lives and marriage, the Williamses remembered how they’ve survived through the ‘Great sadness’ and the civil rights era’ both even remember the era when they met the cost of a car ride was only 10 cents.

According to the news, their granddaughter BJ Williams-Greene said, “To see them at this age and still doing well, it’s just a blessing to have them here.” Willie shared to WSOC-TV about how they have made their relationship long-lasting, “I don’t have any secret for that, just be nice to each other.”

However, over the years Williams-Greene has observed and learned a lot of things from her grandparents. She said, “It’s communication and loving each other and working together.

They are each other’s best friends.” Asked what they’d do with another 100 years, D.W. replied, “I don’t know.” Willie added, “Sit around the house,” making her husband laugh.
