Late rap icon DMX‘s five-year-old son, Exodus, is reportedly suffering from stage III kidney disease, DMX’s fiancée Desiree Lindstrom revealed on social media.
On Thursday (March 10), Desiree Lindstrom, who was engaged to DMX at the time of his death, took to Instagram to thank fans for the messages Exodus has received since his diagnosis.

She also gave us a status on his health.
In a recent interview on the It’s Tricky podcast , Desiree shared: “Exodus is stable, he’s been stable since I had him. He still has stage 3 kidney disease and I’ve just continued to keep his potassium down, he can’t eat high potassium foods. He goes to the doctor very often… He’s an amazing child.”
Exodus is the youngest of DMX’s 15 surviving children.
She wrote in the caption: “Exodus is an amazing child! Blessed to be his mother through this journey. March is the month that brings awareness to kidney disease. Take the time to learn about CKD. Knowledge is key. Thank you for the support @nationalkidneyfoundation and #columbiapresbyterianhospitalnyc. Prayers are much appreciated!”
